Thursday, June 22, 2023, a group of 41 passengers (16 students with parents and a few friends) flew out of Arkansas for an “Alaskan Expedition of Their Lives” June 23-30, 2023. None of this would have been possible without the help and support of community members with fundraising, the student’s parents, and donations from Fair Oaks Manufacturing, First Financial Bank, Woodruff Electric Cooperative Corporation, Jackson’s Funeral Home, Specialty Rice, Kelly and Joey Cain, and GL Morris Farms Limited Partnership. We are extremely humbled by and grateful for your support and generosity!

Public Notice Regarding Destruction of Special Education Records
Notice is hereby given that on July 31, 2023 the McCrory School District intends to destroy all special education records for students who have graduated, moved, dropped, been dismissed, or found ineligible for services prior to the 2018-19 school year.(If you graduated or would have graduated 2017 or before). In accordance with State and Federal guidelines, special education records are maintained for six years after the student exits the program. Parents of these children or the child, provided he/she has reached age 18, have the right to review and/or receive these records before they are destroyed. The MHS football team is hosting a youth football camp July 27-28 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am for students entering first through sixth grade in the fall of 2023. Forms are available at MES. MES students will be given a form to take home. Camp fee is $35 including the price of the shirt. Forms are due by June 7. If registering after June 7, attendance fee is $40. Forms and money can be turned into Mrs. Lauren Baker at MES. For additional information, please contact Coach Cade Campbell.
Field Day Friday is coming this Friday, June 2. Please send a dry change of clothes, sunscreen, and a towel with your child. Your child may bring a drink for the afternoon sessions. Field Day is only open to students enrolled at MES. Parents may attend; however, no meal will be provided to the parents. Please do not bring younger or older siblings.
